Product Description
Metric Steel Q235 Blue Galvanized Protruding Head Structural Self
Plugging Pull Mandrel Blind Rivet
Description
A rivet is a mechanical fastener with a head and tail on opposite
sides, consisting of a head, smooth cylinder, and tail resembling a
metal needle. Typically made of aluminum or steel, these fasteners
provide permanent assembly through a unique mounting method. The
rivet is installed in a drill hole approximately 1.5 mm larger than
its diameter, ensuring secure placement. When installed, the tail
deforms to create a dumbbell-shaped joint, providing strong,
permanent connections.
Applications
Automotive | High-strength applications including engines and heavy-duty
machinery, preferred for larger support area and anti-loosening
performance |
Mechanical | Used in mechanical, electronic, automotive, and construction fields
for connecting various parts, circuit boards, engines, and building
structures |
Energy | Connects power generation equipment and transmission lines in the
energy industry |
Architectural | Essential for construction engineering, shipbuilding, and
petrochemical industries, ensuring structural integrity and safety |
Materials
Aluminum | Excellent thermal/electrical conductivity but requires careful
processing to avoid buildup |
Titanium | Requires EDM machining with deionized water to control heat during
processing |
Steel | Very strong material that generates significant heat during
machining |
Brass | High tensile strength but requires slow cutting speed due to
softness |
Types of Rivets
Blind Rivets (Pop Rivets): Tubular fasteners with a mandrel, ideal when the back end of the
joint is inaccessible. Essential for aerospace, electronics, and
shipbuilding industries.
Solid Rivets: The most common and reliable type, consisting of a solid shaft and
head. Critical for safety applications like aircraft structures.
Hollow Rivets: Available in semi-hollow, compressed, and full hollow variants,
suitable for different material requirements and aesthetic
considerations.
Features & Advantages
- Corrosion resistance through surface treatment methods
- High wear resistance and hardness
- Permanent fastening solution
- Versatile material options for different applications
- Available in various sizes and measurement systems
